Casuarina Cougars are one of a handful of Clubs from around the world to hold the distinct honour of receiving a standing invitation to compete at the Singapore Cricket Club Sevens every year. This honour came about when the Cougars were invited to participate in the 1983 tournament to which the Club won by a record 163-0 over the whole tournament. This is a record that until the 2010 SCC 7's stood..... however.... as a club side this record still stands as it was the South African Vipers (National 7's team) that rolled this record.

The Singapore Sevens is now a real calendar event for Rugby teams and Rugby Nations throughout the world and is fast becoming known as one of the best Sevens tournaments in the world. This year will see South Africa and Scotland again bring their national sides along with many other national Asian sides.

Again some great local sponsorship in 2010 so far from All Hours Plumbing and possibly some international sponsorship through RBS & Guinness will see the Cougars this year hopefully taking a full strength side over to the Singapore 7's as well as expanding to the Borneo 7's.
