The Casuarina Cougars have won the Bowl Competition at the 2009 Singapore Cricket Club 7's, overcoming East Arnhem Rugby Club (Gove) 17-0 in the final. The Cougars overcame the Indian International Side and Hong Kong International Development side to take them to the final on Sunday.

After being seeded into the pool of death on Saturday, with Oriental Rongotai (Wellington), Borneo Eagles and Hong Kong International Development side the Cougars were unlucky not to contest the Plate final after narrow loses after the siren to Wellington and Hong Kong. Wellington and Borneo ended up competing in the Plate Final with Borneo the convincing winners.

This year, through generous sponsorship of Able Finance and All Hours Plumbing as well as great fundraising efforts by Marg and Siggi Buba, saw the Cougars take their best team of the recent decade.
